Parking is an issue as not enough spaces. Machine charged for parking twice. Hot breakfast quantity and quality not the best
GBHotel fine, the usual Holiday inn express facilities. Breakfast very good, exactly like the other ten or so properties we have stayed out in the last few years.
The car parking so say discounted fee of £7/ night is ridiculous. A total rip off. The car parking spaces are very narrow, not helped by the large number of vans using the hotel. The carpark was absolutely packed for our four night stay and it was like limbo dancing at times to get into your car because of the narrowness of the spaces. We appear to have been lucky and escaped any carpark dings from doors opening. The adjacent steakhouse allows four hours free parking to their customers who park in the same car park, one wonders why that is? The hotel states the charge is to maintain this car park for its guests, that clearly isn’t the case and considering we have never had to pay at all the other HIE hotels we have stayed at, it’s clearly a case of getting another £7/ night from its guests and to top it all the spaces provided are clearly not big enough.

GBGBThe location is excellent just off the M5 and within easy reach of the city centre and airport. The staff were friendly and the room clean and quiet. Breakfast was the usual HiExpress fayre but we had no complaints.
I dislike having to pay extra to use the hotel car park as its nothing more than a way of squeezing a bit more money out of customers who are already paying enough for accommodation. HiExpress are not alone in doing this but it irritates me!
