Best Western Yuba City Inn

The staff that I spoke with at the front desk were Friendly and very helpful. The person gave us a first floor room, which I was grateful for because I have back and knee issues, especially going up and down stairs. The rooms were nice.

The beds were ok, but I could feel springs at times. Carpet had spots, but nothing that stopped us form extending for another 2 nights.

Made a reservation, looks nice online. Showed up and parking lot is poorly lit with people sitting in random older cars along the fence line. Got in the room and the thermostat was set to 85 degrees. Carpets were stained. It was in the back of the property along a barbed wire fence. Asked for a different room, 2nd room smelled like pet urine that they tried to cover up with perfume. I asked for my money back and wanted to go to another hotel. They would not refund. So I paid for 2 hotels that night and did not stay here. I called Best Western customer service and the hotel lied to them and said we did stay and left the room dirty.

Couldn’t keep bathroom light on for middle of the night bathroom needs because the noisy fan was attached to the light. So I brought the freestanding lamp near bathroom. Having a bright on during the night does not lend itself to a sound sleep. Roosters didn’t bother me. I get up before they do. Just afraid they might jump on car! The maintenance guy said they wouldn’t unless the cat was chasing them! 🫤

Horrible place especially for the value I was charged $160 other places online offered the room for 97. The first room we were given had bicycles parked out front and homeless people hanging out right off. The bat did not feel safe 2 o’clock in the morning roosters crowing
