Wingate by Wyndham Los Alamos

My room smelled bad. Though I announced it, nothing was (could be?) done about it. The breakfast is very unhealthy (at least from a European perspective).

almost 200$ per night, and the hotel has ants.

Adequate for a stay in Los Alamos. Nice room. Easy to walk to everything in town.

Staff was borderline AWOL, but they all appeared to be in high school so it's to be expected. Tight parking.

The hotel was clean and yhe gentleman at the desk was more than accommodating when I asked about dinner options. This was very limited as I checked in at 7pm. No place was available fir a good dinner after a long day of travel. I wound up eating at Sonic with the most horrible service. I wish I had been aware that on a Saturday evening the town rolls up early and to plan accordingly.

Needed to extend my stay by one night. They said that would not be a problem. I heard nothing further until I returned to my room and card wouldn’t work at 8:00 that evening. Then I went to the desk and learned that my room rate went up 40% that night due to room availability. I have written to local management and corporate. Local management says too bad so sad—nothing we can do about it. Corporate says talk to local management. Very frustrating!! Communication would be advised here. If the rate, goes up 40%, maybe that info should be shared at the time instead of springing it on someone when it is too late to do anything about it. They saved themselves $150 in this instance. However they just cost themselves way more than that. I won’t be back nor will my friends and family. Holiday Inn Express appreciates Wyndham’s inability to own up to a problem.

Had plenty of options for me and staff kept options filled.
