We had a spacious room , the thermostat goes to 60 which for me is a huge plus . I like it cold , most hotels do not go under 65 .

We stay here every time we make the 2 day road trip from Wisconsin to Virginia to see family. It is very convenient to the highway/toll road and also close to restaurants.

"Felt like we were bothering the clerk"

This Hampton was recommended by friends. The location is great, easy to get off the expressway. There's a Ruby Tuesday restaurant within walking distance. Other restaurants nearby also. First of all, the clerk wasn't at the desk, we had to call for him and then he acted like we were bothering him. He was not friendly or inviting at all. After getting our suitcases in the room, we asked him about restaurants. Again, had to call out for him. He didn't seem to know much about them, just kind of waved in the general direction (did not mention the Ruby Tuesday within walking distance). Our room was okay except for the drain in the shower, it was very slow. Not sure if we'd stay here again as there are other comparable hotels close by.
