The Castle Hotel

The room was very pretty with the four post bed and very rustic decor. Fitted in with the heritage of the area.

The floorboards were a little too creaky. Not a big issues just a bit noisy when moving around the room.

Very charming quirky property really cosy nice beer garden. Room was very spacious comfy and clean. Food was really good and everything really reasonably priced

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like it was really nice

History of the building and comfort.

Hot water not over hot and bad smell coming from gurgling drains.

Excellent manager

Everything we needed from our stay was provided 🙂

Only slight downside was drunk revellers outside the window at 1am, but that’s not the hotel’s fault and is to be expected given the high street location.

excellent evening meal, good selection of beers at a good price, great breakfast cooked as we had asked, good selection of cereals .tea coffee fruit juices and toast to help yourself,

Nothing about the main hotel, however it had shared car parking with a supermarket and open to a bus stop. We ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles i now they are insured but they do attract attention so felt uneasy parking them in the open not so bad as it was midweek but not to sure about weekends.
