Americas Best Value Inn Kansas City East - Independence

I liked the location. It was easy access to the highway, and only two exits away from Arrowhead stadium.

This hotel is very outdated and not clean. The staff was horrible, and the complimentary breakfast was not anything to cheer about.

It was well priced. The bed wasn’t as hard. I was able to sleep all night anyway still not soft enough, but not as hard as some of the other beds that we’ve been

There was not hardly any hot water when we took a shower the toilet ran all night and the rooms. The floors were not that clean and there was a lot of dust. It just wasn’t that clean. There was dust in there and there was a different knob on the sink it wasn’t even a sink knob for one of the waters and we couldn’t get to shower hot and the bed was still pretty hard

It was a quiet location near a lot of dining and shopping businesses.

I found it on Priceline and assumed it would be a decent place since my brother-in-law lives in that town and I'd only seen nice hotels in the area. This place is way back behind a lot of stuff, which wouldn't be that bad except the place is nothing like the photos show. When we got there they charged an extra $50 deposit, which can understand if you're trying to keep the place nice. But soon as we got in the room it wreaked of cigarette smoke. The only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one is that they were willing to move us to another room without hesitation. There's no cleanliness there at all except maybe the beds and restroom. You can see all the grime built up on the lamps. Then the breakfast had almost nothing to offer at all (bread, a couple of muffins, waffles, and yogurt). We couldn't wait to leave.

Decent for the price. Tub was clean, air conditioner was in bad shape but still worked. Beds were not comfortable. Mostly pretty quiet.

Nice room. Staff was accommodating and polite. Some of the guests were suspicious and did a lot of walking around in the middle of the night.

Non smoking room wreaked of cigarette smoke. Outlets hanging out of wall. Walls were filthy. All surfaces were sticky. Entrance door in poor condition. Desperately in need of an upgrade!!

Place is really run down, damaged AC unit, door entry unit, broken dresser drawer. Plus very hard to find and looked like there were street people everywhere in the area. Desk clerk was locked away, like there was ongoing danger of attacks or something.

The property was nothing like the pictures posted online. Very run down and in poor condition

The floors were dirty. The toilet seat was broken, but the sheets were clean.
