Red Roof Inn Hickory

It was clean for the most part, it needs new sheets and blankets. They were clean but dingy from age and use. My remote was partially eaten when I arrived, door latch was wonky. It was comfortable, clean and quiet for the most part. Great cheap motel ! Staff was great, i wish I remember the lady at front desk name,Adhd wont allowed it . She was great ver friendly and welcoming. Thank you! Shout out you know who you are if you read this

This hotel was probably the worst Ive ever been to. There are not enough words to describe the experience. Basically the cleaning was non existent. The hotel lets "down to earth" people use it. The entire lot screams homeless encampment. The only saving grace was the hotel clerk Jennifer but at the same not really. She told me id recieve a partial refund for the conditions my room was in. Its been over 10 business days and still no refund. The thing thats tops it off is the fact that they make you sign a no smoking wavier and agreement you pay for damages if you do smoke in the room. My room smelled like cigarettes, there was cigarette burns in the mattress protector. Luckily we took pictures. Also when I asked for new sheets because the ones we had were stained they gave me another pair that also had stains on them. We ended up going to Target an buying new sheets. Dont waist your money on this rundown junk of a hotel. Youll be sorry.

The area was close to where we were going.

There were water roaches everywhere. The fire detector went off every five min without anyone coming to check it. When we went to take the batteries out it was hard wired and full of roaches. The heat didn’t work and the weather stripping was hanging off the door. It’s was a very horrible experience. Especially when the lady at the desk didn’t care. I would take them off my booking app for sure. They make you look bad for not caring about their customers. We just needed a little sleep from a 22 hour drive and got none at all.

This is by far the worse place I ever stayed. Very unsafe, very unclean and expensive for the money. If I knew such horrible conditions I would go somewhere else. Will never stay at Red Roof and I won't recommend anyone else

my experience was nothing short of terrible. Upon arrival, I quickly discovered that my key cards would not work, and every time I left the room, I had to return to the lobby to have them reactivated—this happened in freezing 30-degree weather! also, I had serious privacy concerns. The guests next to me were incredibly intrusive. Every time I pulled up to my room, they would stand outside, peering into my car. Even worse, when I opened my door to the room, Id catch them peeking through. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. One individual decided to sit in a chair directly in front of my door, smoking. I would have had to brush up against him to even stand in front of my door, which felt uncomfortably invasive and inappropriate, especially considering there was plenty of space on the other side of his door to sit.To make matters worse, I was wrongfully accused of my puppy barking all night. I work as a 24-hour remote travel agent, so if there had been any noise, I wouldn't have been able to do my job. On top of that, when I ordered DoorDash, the delivery driver was instructed not to knock, yet someone still did and very loudly,he informed me that it was the "guy next door", I have messages to prove this. I was threatened to leave due to false complaints from guests who are possibly under the influence,so I will not hesitate to extend my services and request a formal inspection of the property.
