I always make it a point to write reviews, and my experience at Bayview Park Hotel Manila deserves to be shared. We checked in recently, and from the start, the reception was unaccommodating. I politely asked if it was possible to upgrade to a larger room (fully aware that this would involve additional cost), but the receptionist responded in a dismissive and arrogant manner, without eye contact or clear information. Instead of assisting, she made me feel unwelcome, which is not what I expected as a first-time guest. The room itself is acceptable, though the view is unpleasant. Initially, I was willing to settle, but the lack of professionalism at the front desk left a lasting negative impression. When I tried again to inquire about bigger room options, the response was curt and unhelpful, simply stating “that’s our premium, and you need to pay,” without any effort to explain or assist further. Given the circumstances, we will consume the nights already paid but plan to transfer to a nearby hotel after a few days. It is not feasible to move immediately due to the late hour and the rally scheduled in the area the following day. This is disappointing for a property with such a long history. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as hospitality begins at the front desk, and first impressions matter.
