Very dated property

The Staff was wonderful. Especially the employees that worked the coffee bar. All the amenities make it very charming. However, the Resort needs some upkeep. The outside paint is peeling horribly. The spa and pool area look old and worn.The common areas feel stark and cold. It was raining much of the weekend but only one fireplace was used and then for only a few hours. Wood molding chipped,broken or missing throughout . Our room was huge but it only had 2 chairs when it could have accommodated a couch and large chair easily. Housekeeping was inadequate. They emptied the garbage and left towels only. They left the dirty coffee cups,did not leave new coffee pods. Did not make beds,clean bathroom floor or vacuum. Nothing wiped down. If this wasn’t a Resort ,I could let it go but a Resort stay should include a real cleaning. Overall, I enjoyed it very much,mostly due to the fantastic staff and the beautiful property. I just feel like there is a lot of untapped potential that is being wasted.

The property is stunning! Right on the beach. The rooms are spacious and the bed is super comfy. There was a fire ban but they had several propane fire pits out so you could still make a s’more.

First time at this location. Very beautiful, local town had a variety of restaurants. Accommodations at resort were great. Walking paths are nice.

We have stayed here before and love the location, ambience and accommodation. We enjoy the room with the patio facing the beach especially as we have the children with us. Also love the activities for the children, very family friendly. Though we do not mind pets, we do not appreciate owners allowing their dogs to be barking. The accommodation is not 'cheap' thus we do think our enjoyment is more important than having to listen to dogs. The rooms are fairly quiet sideways but quite noisy in the halls and from above - alot of stomping. Guests could be more considerate of others. Staff are very accomodating and friendly.

Beautiful property, clean facilities.

It wasn’t communicated at check in that the hot tub wasn’t working. Got dressed to go sit in the hot tub and made the trek down there, only to find out it was closed for repairs.

Reserved a double queen water view patio when I checked in, they put me in a king and told me they had overbooked and that the room I reserve is not available, saying that we would need to use the pullout couch as the other bed the pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable so we all had to share the one bed and barely got any sleep. There was dog hair and food crumbs on the floor when we arrived and the couch was also filled with sand. The ice machine was empty our entire first day. I’m supposed to be getting a refund but have not received it yet.

We had very mixed reviews about our visit to the "resort." The location is stunning and that is 85% of it. The hotel itself leaves something to be desired, especially listed as a "resort." Resort to me has a lavish bool, fine dining and incredible hospitality. This feels more like an older lodge. I booked a room and wrote to specifically ask what the view of our room was and received a response from a Guest Service Agent that we had a "marina view room." Our view was of the parking lot!! $389.49 for one night, surrounded by water and we were looking at parking lot. I would not have minded as much if I (a) hadn't checked to confirm our view or (b) they had labeled it correctly so I knew what I was paying for. When I called to complain, I was told that the view of the marina was on the higher floors. (Then don't call these rooms "marina views." Call them "garden views" or ground floor rooms.) The service at Packers was unimpressive (had to wait and ask for service after being seated) and the food was mediocre. There was nothing special about the pool -- it was like a community pool not a "resort" pool. Nothing special. Some staff were really professional and nice and others were flippant and borderline rude. When we asked for matches at the front desk the young woman behind the desk said, "for what?" None of your business for what. Ironically we'd been sitting out on the beach earlier and three men were smoking cigars. So we told her it was for our cigars. She let us know we had to be 25 feet from the building. The very next day, I saw a man smoking right outside his room on the ground floor. It's such a beautiful location, but I feel like it really rests on its laurels considering the cost of the rooms. It feels like a few things like better training; nicer furnishings/appointments in some areas; and clearer information about the rooms is needed. If you go, know that the surrounding area is stunning. So maybe pay less for the room, lower your expectations and enjoy time on the beach.

Property is huge, good swimming pool, massage and other amenities but the property itself is very old. Beach access is beautiful. The furniture is so old that a huge mirror on the wall fell on a 3 year old and we had to rush to a hospital in Bellingham. There is no medical facility in Blaine. The front desk and management tried to help but they do not have a proper first aid kit or expertise to help in any way. That is the reason I feel it is unsafe and inconvenient. The property and rooms are dirty due to the age of the property (probably) or poor management. There are only couple of places for dining with limited options.
