Graduate by Hilton Berkeley

The place is okay, I like the area more than the actual hotel. The ac in my room sounded like a spaceship coming in for landing, or at least how I imagine that might sound. It was annoying. But the staff was friendly and attentive. The elevator smelled unpleasant at one point, but they cleaned it up. The restaurant food was good. For parking, it was a challenge to get in and out of the spaces, but it’s nice that they offer parking.

Staff were excellent and absolutely helpful.

Room size with sitting area

No onsite parking due to tailgate. This wasn't disclosed when the reservation was made. We were forced to find off site parkign. :(

The staff were great. Finding a cockroach crawling on your book was less great. This hotel definitely needs some updating.

The room had some suspect stains on the walls and shower curtains. Housekeeping knocked on doors at 7am loudly and the a/c unit made a very loud pitched noise.

Over prced

Diamond Hilton member in Berkeley for Duke vs Cal game and chose Graduate for its location. The location is great, the hotel is anything but. Obvious rebranded property by Hilton, formerly the Durant. Dark, and worn hotel. They placed some cutesy college memorabilia around, but invested no money in much else. Could use a deep clean. Sold out this weekend as it’s also parents weekend. One person at the front desk answering calls and checking in guest. Only 2 servers in the restaurant, Henry’s. Employees doing the best they can. No complaints about them. Rooms are cramped and to call the furniture vintage is a stretch! More than disappearing.
