Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort

Beach and pools (1 adult only) were really nice. Food was very good. Staff were lovely except for girl in the market. She would ignore the customers while she was doing other things or she’d take your order and make it and then start other things and leave you standing there waiting to pay. She probably should not be in hospitality business. My daughter’s room had no hot water (room 312) but the rest of the family did ( 5 other rooms). They said they’d fix it but they did not. Free coffee outside breakfast buffet was nice since we didn’t do the buffet.

They assigned me a room that wasn't the one I had paid for, and they didn't resolve anything.

I am debating between 3 and 4 stars because our first day was a series of irritating events, but our stay was better after that. First of all, the property is GORGEOUS. The beach area is super nice, however, by 11am all the chairs at the beach and pools are taken. They really need to put out more when the hotel is booked. Our check in experience was poor. The 2 front desk people we spoke with were very rude (and this was not our experience in Curaçao at all, it’s a very friendly country). We waited 4 hours for our room and were very disappointed. We had a garden view room (which is an upgrade from limited view) and our view was the employee parking lot. The bathroom was nice with good water pressure. The USB ports didn’t work so we only had 1 charging outlet. The gym is very nice & spacious, and always seemed to be full. My other biggest complaint was with the food service. We had a very expensive dinner the first night that was terrible. My husband couldn’t even eat his steak. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks, and our appetizer came out after the meals. For the cost of the food, we thought it was terrible. There’s also limited options after 5pm. I’m not sure what families do because dinner options are mainly sushi and high priced steaks. Luckily, a 10 minute walk away is Pirates Cove. It’s a beautiful cove with 3 beach front restaurants. If the property wasn’t so beautiful, I wouldn’t consider staying again. We would definitely return to Curaçao though!

Can’t say enough good about this resort, and I’m never the one to leave a review. Every single staff member encountered was over the top pleasant, and the room and property was pristine. The panoramic view from the front of the hotel is incredible, the pool is top-notch, all the restaurants are excellent, and the reef club is great if you have Bonvoy status. I’d specifically like to give Leonella, an attendant in the Reef Club, a shout out for making our children’s stay extra special.

We had a horrible check-in experience. Our room wasn’t ready, no big deal we arrived before 4, but when we finally got our room it was not the room we paid for. We booked through Marriott using our American Express platinum and our room was a balcony. We were placed ground level in the back of the hotel by a service entrance. When we asked to be changed I was accused of booking through a 3rd party and told I could look at her computer and see they were fully booked. I believed her I just wanted the mistake corrected and I clearly showed them on my Marriott app I booked with Marriott directly, this changed her tone and we were moved the next day to an appropriate room. We enjoyed the rest of our stay. We later saw they set up a Marriott Elite check in which was where we could have checked in if it had been a thing and our experience prob would have been top notch. The hotel is nice but if you want to enjoy your trip he a car and explore!!! If we had to spend 6 days at the resort we would have been bored.

My wife and I have now been in consecutive Marches (2025 / 2026). We just absolutely love this property, and we feel they value my Elite status better than Domestic Marriott resorts and hotels. Let’s start with the staff. Romy and her management team are incredibly proactive in communication regarding any details or changes related to special accommodations for stay. They give you options and make you feel empowered. Sue at the front desk really took care of us and kept letting us know that we’re on vacation and the staff is there to take care of us. Nickesha with housekeeping made sure we had water each day and even remembered later in the day I had asked and brought more water just for us. And even Julie one of the operators is so warm and friendly - and I have for 2 years now texted her ahead of the visit. The breakfast is incredible and has so many options. The property is beautiful and fits in with the surroundings. It’s so convenient to have Goby Divers right on site (Angela there is also incredible) to rent equipment. The reef at the resort is also beautiful. We’ll see what our future plans hold but hoping to make it a continued annual tradition to visit this property. Thank you all for another great stay!

We had an excellent stay at the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort. The beach and pool areas were clean and conveniently located near the rooms and restaurants. We were on the first floor, in an oceanfront room and it was perfect. I was worried that it would be too busy with people walking right by our room, but that was not a problem at all. We had our own little “private” area where we our appointed sun-beds waited for us. No need to worry about waking up early to get a coveted beach chair— which didn’t really seem like an issue anyway. What truly stood out, though, was the warm, friendly service at the hotel. There was a bit of a line at check in (maybe our flight brought in a lot of guests checking in at the same time) but the front desk attendant was pleasant and gave us our on-property dining options as we waited for our room to be ready. The food at the restaurants on property was quite delicious and artistically plated. We had our first meal at the lobby’s Japanese restaurant, Koi Kora. Our server Sherrille was especially welcoming. We also had dinnerJFK Steakhouse, where Audrey and Razil were attentive and gave great recommendations for us to do around the island. We had several meals at Salty Iguana— by the Pool, by the Beach, and at the bar. Salty was our favorite spot since we were able to enjoy the view, especially during sunset. The staff, specially Jaymy, Rolly, Lin, and Gelo, created a fun and friendly atmosphere. They ensured everything was taken care of quickly and with a smile. Even during busy times, the teams worked seamlessly and maintained excellent service. Their positive energy made the stay feel special. Huge credit to the bartenders and servers—they’re a big reason we’d happily return. 🌴😊

This was an absolutely amazing resort. From the guys at the Great Room restaurant; Jeanco, Amar and Andre to the GM Niels & Arne in guest relations, Jayme and Maria at the Salty Iguana to our fabulous housekeepers, everyone made this so special for us. It was my 70th birthday and I would never spend another milestone anywhere else. Our room was perfect with a view of the ocean and so comfortable and clean. The pools were top notch, I didn't use the "adult" pool as I find the family pool fun and lively with the music, games and the Salty Iguana steps way. And the ocean... oh my I can't wait to go back!
