Holiday Inn Express Saint Simons Island by IHG

Everyone was wonderful. We had an excellent stay. Breakfast was wonderful and the children enjoyed the pool. Would recommend it.

Great property close to the beach and Village! Always very clean, nice staff!! Nice breakfast with all the basics! Highly recommend!

Did not get a king room that was confirmed. Ended up getting a 2 queen room that smelled like cat urine. It was horrible.

Close to everything yet far enough away so that it was peaceful.

Room had spots of mildew/mold. Not enough for me to complain though

Room had a musty smell and wall were paper thin. Lots of noise. Breakfast was excellent!

The room had a chilly and damp atmosphere, accompanied by a lingering musty scent. The condensation on the floor made it quite slippery, indicating that enhancing ventilation and warmth could greatly improve the overall experience. During my recent stay at a Holiday Inn, I had initially booked for two nights but decided to check out early due to these conditions. I believe addressing these issues would significantly enhance guest comfort.

It says in the hotel description „recently renovated“, but in the room we had on the 2nd floor it really doesn’t look like it is! Entering the room one could already smell the mold. Air-conditioning works properly, but is fairly loud. Windows are locked and cannot open. A little ocean breeze and fresh air would improve room quality. Outside pool is small and adjacent to parking lot. Feels like behind bars. Breakfast below HIE standard, not much freshness and lots of plastic. Personnel at front desk was nice, but couldn‘t solve the problem with our bill (had to wait for the manager). Not sure if we‘d come back when visiting Saint Simon Island.

You have two staff members who were awesome. This will be Nicole and Yva, sending a Kudo. They were so polite and attentive.
