Best Western Oglesby Inn

By very wary of this BW. It is close to Starved Rock and there aren't many places to stay so I know your options are limited. If you must book here ask to see the room first so you can smell it. My room had a cloying, fruity like odor. Walk on the entryway tile and toilet area tile. See how sticky it is. If it is sticky it is very dirty.

The hotel was awesome, it was very clean and the breakfast was great. The lady working to make sure the breakfast idems were full at all times was amazing and full of helpful information. The location was great. The Mexican restaurant next door was a god send.

Our room, although clean, smelled like cigarette smoke. We had to buy a plug-in room freshener, and the smell of weed filled the hallways at all times. But I would still stay there again.

Older building doors slam if people let them go so got loud at night with people going in and out

Under some construction, large group in halls at 2 am, and near front desk but i had to call the desk to tell them to shut up...desk employee should have heard too. No frills place, but breakfast was decent

The room and refrigerator were a decent size. The towels were washed well. The air conditioning was okay.

This hotel has the poorest and worst breakfast I have ever had at a hotel where breakfast is included. The room was not clean, there was dust in the corners, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for more than a year. There were flies flying around the breakfast area. Also, as soon as the window was opened in the room, flies immediately flew in. The water in the public dispenser tasted bad. It looked like the filter hadn't been changed in a long time. The air in the hallway and rooms smelled of mold and old carpets. Apparently the owners knew about this, because every day after lunch they sprayed a strong-smelling spray in the hallways to mask the smell of mold.

Breakfast was very good and hot. Attendant did an exceptional job in keeping the food stocked in a ti.ely manner.

I did not like the location of the sink just inside the door. I understand for maintenance purposes, but, all bathroom facilities should be in one area.

Beds are uncomfortable, very awkward location to find. Pool is very small and I have more workout equipment in my garage than they do. Website said there was a bathtub, however my room didn't have one.
