Close to Starved Rock!

This place has Bed Bugs!!! We did not notice them until the morning we were leaving! I'm sitting on the bed and killed two of them crawling across the sheets!!! Now I'm paranoid and hoping that I didn't bring them home!!! Nasty! Don't believe the other reviews!!

The reason we chose is hotel because it was 12 AM in the morning and have been driving over 9 hrs and it was 92miles away from the closest Hotel . only thing I can say is the water hot, the microwave and the refrigerator was clean, Air conditioner was cold and it was very quiet. The floor needed vacuum, no wash cloth, (my boyfriend had to use his clean socks for washcloth) we had to wear flip-flops in the bathroom because the floor was very nasty, it’s like an old motel that never was updated 50 years ago, they had a push button phone in the bathroom that didn’t work.. best air conditioner ever is a constant roar and click clunk on and off and the temperature was 68° There was cereal for breakfast nothing else . on our way to check out nobody was at the front desk so we just left. We paid cash when we checked in at 12:30 AM What do you expect we only paid $80

Dirt and dust at edges of carpet and corners. They do not plan enough food or space for breakfast.

A very strong chemical smell came rushing when we opened the door. We inspected and while it appeared to be in ok condition for price, I always check out the bathroom and beds. When I pulled back the fitted sheet the mattress there was what appeared to be blood on edge of mattress so I continued to look and in the upper corner by the nightstand there was a large area which appeared to be vomit dried on mattress. When we pulled the sheets back, there were two long dark hair strands in the bed. My husband went down to the desk to tell them and asked for a new room and he did not apologize and just gave him a key for new room. This was a quick stop over on our travels and we were there less than 12 hrs. Never again.
