This is a GREAT location downtown - middle of “whiskey row”, directly across the street from the YUM! Center (UL basketball), and walkable to many things. BUT, it comes with a few challenges. There is a LOT of road noise - especially on the north and east sides. (2nd street is apparently a race track headed for the bridge and the locals love their loud pipes.) Rooms were nice, and were supplied with white noise makers and earplugs. Minor irritants: the shower is modern but is 1960’s kinda wide. And the toilets must have been acquired in a surplus buy from an elementary school - very short! (Apparently this is all rooms based on chats with our 5 couples). Service level was very good. Nice staff, well trained.

Everyone was very friendly, even the golfs working the late shifts and morning shift. So nice. The rooms were nice clean with nice bedding and great towels. I o think they are hurting themselves by using cheap toilet paper though. All together, Louisville won, and we had an enjoyable stay.

We stopped a truck stop that 10x better toilet paper than you had in your fancy hotel.

I checked in and was given a room on the second floor despite my Marriott profile noting that I prefer a high floor. Not a big problem so I went to the room which was next to the elevator / ice machine and had a connecting room. I could immediately hear the TV from the connecting room as well as very loud street noise. I went down to the front desk and asked for a higher floor. I was told they were sold out and didn’t have any rooms available, despite the fact it was only 4:00 pm and I’m a Marriott platinum member. Upon returning to my room I could ever word of the conversation of the people in the next room. Never again,

I lost my key the staff quickly replaced it ! No hassle
