Hampton Inn Middletown

Bed was uncomfortable and not enough shelf space in bath room.

I got this hotel for my parents. Breakfast was okay they said.

There were people doing maintenance or some type of construction my parents said, right outside of their room, so it was pretty noisy during their stay. The staff didn’t tell me about the $50 deposit and they would need me there to charge my card since I’m the one who paid for it. I had originally called to add my mother on to the room so they could check in without me and I told this to the staff who answered the phone. I let them know I would not be back in time for them to check in. I was just getting off of the plane when I get a call from my mom saying they need my card because they had to charge the deposit.. this should’ve been told to me ahead of time so we could’ve prepared for this with the staff or I could’ve taken care of it before they got there if that was an option. Then they ended up canceling the entire reservation payment I made and recharging my card two more times until they got that situated the next day. I find this highly unacceptable. The reason we got this room for my parents was because we were finally coming home after two weeks and we don’t have a spare room for them, but we still wanted to spend time with them and have them get a good nights sleep before they traveled back home six hours away because my parents are older. And then the next morning, my mom told me that someone knocked on their door to let them know they would be doing some type of maintenance outside of their room, which included a lot of banging and drilling.

They didn’t get enough pillows for all of us or bedding for the pull out couch. We had stated there would be four of us. When we asked for more pillow they said they didn’t know where they were. The bathroom had no shampoo and it was never filled while we were there. Our room was never serviced while we were there.

The first room they gave me you could hear the people in the next room just talking and watching TV. I had to go downstairs and get another room and the young lady asked me. Did I take a shower and anything in the room yet? I replied no I haven’t been checked in not even five minutes. I went up on the elevator and came back down because of the noise. The second row that they gave me room 439 there was two towels that had lipstick on them that room service never even checked them. They just folded them and left them there. I took them downstairs and Young Lady apologized the towels in the bathroom were very dingy.

The hotel had a smell like some awful cleaning solution a dead reused the elevators were streaked up. It was awful.

Very clean, perfect bed, excellent breakfast, very good location, the staff was very helpful.
