Great location next to carowinds exactly what i was looking for. Perfect for overnight stay and a great value. Staff were nice and accommodating and they had a great breakfast.

Light fixture in bathroom had dirt in it. Dirt spots on ceiling in the bathroom. Stain on chair and bed spread. Chair was broken.

We booked this hotel for one night while driving home from a long work trip, expecting a place to rest before continuing another 9-hour drive. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. As soon as we entered the room, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor. On top of that, we noticed visible stains on the curtains and even found a bug. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected. We went to the front desk to report the issue, and instead of offering a room change or a meaningful solution, we were simply given a can of Febreze. We sprayed the room and left for dinner, hoping ventilation and time would help. When we returned, the smell had not improved it had only mixed with the spray, making it even worse. We went back to the front desk again, but the receptionist told us there was nothing he could do because we had checked in “two hours ago,” and the only thing he could offer was extra bed sheets. At that point, we decided to leave entirely. When checking out, we were asked if something was wrong with the room, which was frustrating given that we had already explained the situation twice. This experience was not just about the condition of the room, but also about how poorly the situation was handled. A simple room change or basic customer service effort could have completely changed the outcome. Instead, the response felt dismissive and careless. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience.
