Tivoli Coimbra Hotel

Location, accessibity and excellent staff. A medium sized traditional hotel on a quiet street at the edge of the old town and city centre. Close to bus and train stations.

Although there has been some up grading of public spaces the superior rooms on the top floor, which cost extra, could benefit from new carpeting and bathroom fittings.

Every staff is very friendly and kindly. Location, close to city center and bus center. First choice in this city.

Nice big room and bathroom and huge bathroom. Our previous booked accommodation was shocking and had to book this hotel at the last moment.

A very long check in process. But no big deal.

The room was spacious, the bed were we stay was comfortable.

Room was not clean (little things on the floor), low illumination on room (however the bathroom as good illumination). I was travel with my bride, and we have booked a room with bed for couple. However they give us a room with two individual beds instead (complete separated, not link with bed sheets even). The reception wasn't any better either, when we said we were getting married the next day, and needed some people (3) to come to our room to help, they immediately got angry and started talking in an unfriendly way. They weren't even able to congratulate each other about the wedding and not wish us good luck.

Our room was very large and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big with a good shower with lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The closet was large with ample hangers. A mini fridge was provided along with coffee and a bottle of water. The wifi was excellent and there were many charging outlets and lights. We were on the fifth floor and we could open the windows for a breeze and at night we could lower the shutters and pull the blackout curtains.

The hotel and its furnishings were a little dated. The hair dryer appeared to be ancient and didn't work well.

This is a very comfortable hotel which fully deserves its 4* rating. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and we found the beds comfortable. There is a nice bar which was very reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. We hope to come back for a third stay.

Some parts of the hotel are looking just a little bit tired. However, I understand that it will close temporarily in November 2024 for redecoration.

Tv volume didn’t work. Carpet not clean. Waited in line to pay in the bar and local jumped the line and it was tolerated.

The place is pretty classy, the location is nice, my room was clean & the staff was friendly.
