Hampton Inn Grand Rapids-North

We needed to find a room in the Grand Rapids area to have a scheduled surgery the next morning. I wanted to find something at the best price without compromising #1 cleanliness, #2 quiet and cozy, #3 breakfast for my amazing husband and driver, and #4 location and parking. The price was great! Everything was very clean, rooms, beds, bathrooms and the common areas, lobby and breakfast area. I'm not sure about any pool or fitness areas because I didn't look around. Bummer I couldn't eat before surgery because they had those western and cheese omelettes I like lol I'd definitely stay here again

Nice place to stay, clean rooms.

Was less than thrilled with the room. It didn’t appear the bathroom was cleaned before we got our room keys and we found that out the next morning when I hopped in the shower and saw long black hair in the shower on the shower curtain, shower wall and bathroom sink. A layer of dust was visible on the shelves where they placed the folded towels. Our room was on the first floor, and you could hear everyone’s doors on the second floor and all around closing. It sounded like constant loud slamming doors. I think it’s that their doors don’t close easily so people have to put force into them. The heating and cooling unit in the room made a constant clicking noise which was disruptive to sleep. Also, the pool was closed for maintenance, but there was/is nothing on their website that says the indoor pool was closed for maintenance and that was a large reason we booked a room here. I got a couple texts from the front desk, checking in on our stay and I messaged them about the issues we experienced while we were there and even sent photos of the nasty hair around the bathroom and nobody responded. Completely unacknowledged us. I would not return to this hotel and I’m disappointed I wasted my money on a less than enjoyable stay

The only reason I chose to stay there was because they had a pool, only to get there and the pool was closed for maintenance! Not to happy about that. Also room had a funky smell. But otherwise it was a nice, clean place to stay and the breakfast was great!

Check in was great. Tanisha was phenomenal and provided us with the best service ever during our check in process. Will definitely return.

It was nice that they let us check in early, but they gave us a room with 2 queens, instead of a king. And there were some surfaces in the room that were not cleaned (full length mirror for example) Overall just an average stay with really sweet staff

Nice stay. The area is a bit set back and there is an abundance of shopping. We loved the authentic Korean restaurant nearby.

The property and staff were very accommodating. I have a two year old with lots of energy and he is very talkative and the staff was very nice and interacted with him!

Good basic stay.
