"Musty Smells"

The hotel seems to have a water or humidity issue. The first room we were assigned was very humid and smelled very musty. The linens felt damp to the touch and all the metal fixtures had rust on them. There was also dog food on the floor so we thought maybe the smell was due to an animal. We asked for a new room and the woman at the front desk was very kind and quickly gave us a new room. This room had similar issues as the first, but had a heavy cleaning fragrance in what we assume was an attempt to cover up the smell. The floors felt slimy and not clean. This is not what we expect to see from a Holiday Inn, especially at $200 for one night.

It wasn’t as nice as I had hoped. There were rust stains in the bathtub, and some dirt found on our sheets. The front desk gave us a new sheet to use instead. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Just wanted to share a great experience I had at the Holiday Inn Express. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Holly at the front desk. She was super friendly, polite, and made sure we had all the info we needed for our stay. What really stood out was how much she genuinely loves her job and the people she works with. She had such great things to say about her team, and it really showed in the atmosphere of the hotel. If you’re staying here, definitely look out for Holly and the front desk crew they’re awesome and make you feel right at home. Thanks for making our visit such a pleasant one!
