Mercure Sydney Blacktown

Regularly stay at Mercure Sydney Blacktown. Always feel very well looked after. I visit Sydney every 2 weeks, and I have tried a few hotels in the Blacktown area, and a few in other areas close by, but Mercure Sydney Blacktown has been my favourite by far. The service has always been second to none, and the food is great, and also has a Mcdonalds next door. The room has always been very clean. The bed is also super super comfy. Has chromecast in room also. Located close to Westpoint Mall, and Blacktown Station. 5 stars every time.

The room was comfortable and quiet. We didn't have breakfast included. I loved the fact that the Workers Club is attached because it made it easy to have a drink after a long days netball and enjoy a meal.

I guess if I had to take points off, it would be that there is no under cover parking (that I am aware of) and my car got hammered by overhead bird droppings overnight.

Terrible first impression that never got better... [ ] Room not ready after we had confirmed our arrival time. We were advised it would be another 20-30 minutes for our room with no offer of where we could wait etc until I asked specifically if there was somewhere in the hotel we could sit and order food while we waited. [ ] Details not confirmed during check-in. Didn't seem concerned that an incorrect email address was on my check-in details and didn't care when I asked if they'd like my correct details. [ ] Dirty cups in room - lipstick on cups and coffee cups were stained, and in a state. I would be embarrassed to provide as a business. [ ] Reception didn't answer when we called after we checked in and wanted to request new, clean cups for our room. Had to go downstairs to speak with someone [ ] Hair inside freezer door [ ] Coffee splashed up the wall in the kitchette [ ] Dust in every corner and hair on the floor in the bathroom [ ] Shower door doesn't close properly and leaks [ ] Served cold arancini balls while waiting for our room to be ready. Which was disappointing and concerning regarding food handling and safety as these were a hot food item. [ ] Room service for coffee and a cheesecake was ordered 4.20pm via QR Code in our room. After 50 minutes, still hadn't arrived. Took an hour. UberEats delivered faster than the hotel could deliver their own room service. [ ] Toilet makes an awful sound after flushing. Very loud even with bathroom door closed. [ ] Skip bin was collected at 11.30pm right below our window and waking us up. [ ] Cockroach inside fridge door [ ] Room 345 is directly across from elevator and you can hear everything that happens in the hallways

Perfect location for my stay.

Decent buffet breakfast. Clean, basic, rooms.

Laundry facilities could do with a clean and upgrade.

The location was great, central to everything we had planned. Convenient and handy.

There was no pressure in the shower, could barely use it without it only being a dribble. We could also only get either scolding hot water or ice cold water. The air conditioning didn’t work either. We followed the instructions provided to get it working but it just wouldn’t work at all.

Just friendly wasn’t a comfortable stay not worth the money

There was a rotten apple or something inside the sofa bed, beds aren’t comfortable to sleep on. Room n toilets are outdated to be honest they need an upgrade wasn’t a clean room

The bathroom was not clean upon arrival. The bathroom floor had clearly not been cleaned for some time, as there was a noticeable build-up of grime. The sink and refrigerator in the room had also not been cleaned recently, as hair was present on the countertop and inside the refrigerator. Furthermore, the bathroom, including the sink, was not properly cleaned during the mid-stay room service/tidy-up. Obvious makeup stains remained in the sink, and leftover rubbish was not removed. It appeared that the mid-stay service consisted only of making the beds and changing the towels, with no proper cleaning of the room or bathroom being carried out
