Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui

The resort is beautiful and we really enjoyed it last year so we decided to book again this year. Honestly I was disappointed! I had called a couple of days before to request the same ocean view room we had and was told it was booked, which of course I understood, but they could put us in the same building a few rooms down, no problem. At check in I was told it was another building ( close by) but it definitely wasn’t in a quiet location which is what I requested. We were right across from where housekeeping got their carts and on the tile floor it was loud. At check out they never even asked if we enjoyed our trip, they didn’t care! With all the other resorts near by I think I can do better!

Absolutely loved this resort in Wailea. A tad more affordable for what is possible beachfront on Maui. Fantastic atmosphere and rooms. Solid service with a welcome beverage. I got an upgrade due to my platinum status. Their breakfast rice on the breakfast buffet is literally worth the trip. The pools are nice with varying vibes and the activities on property like yoga and fresh flower lei making are a highlight. This is my top pick on Maui for experience, value and somewhat reasonable pricing - even though it’s a bit more than other places, it is worth the price. Also very close to all the restaurants and the grocery stores you could want within walking distance!

It is ridiculous to pay almost a thousand dollars a night and not have an available lounge. Unoccupied lounges are all “reserved” with towels and personal items all day. Management should post signs and should remove towels and personal item from unoccupied lounges.

We are currently on our way home and I felt so inclined to write a rave review for the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort. From arrival, the lobby views are stunning, check in provided us with lei’s and two stuffed turtles for our daughters (ages 9 and 6.) We upgraded our room to a partial ocean view and worked with the hotel manager Maricel who was lovely and very responsive. We stayed in room 7200 and the ocean view was AMAZING! We really enjoyed listening to the waves crash and having coffee/happy hour on our terrace. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our kids loved the water park, which Maricel so kindly put our room nearby. The staff there (Shay) went above and beyond to entertain our kids and assist with a scavenger hunt. They bring out complimentary ice pops, waters, banana bread, etc throughout the day, which is a really nice touch. We ate at Kapa twice, the food was excellent, the view and live music were great. We would definitely come back here and hope to come sooner than later from the Northeast. Highly recommend this hotel!

Location, pools, peach access, design/layout of the resort, staff were very friendly.

Some amenities/facilities are out dated.

Everything was perfect I have no complaints about the property or the staff! The bartenders at Humble Kitchen are the best on the island and the drinks were out of this world! The room was comfy and clean, pools were amazing and not packed with kids accept in the kids area. The slide is crazy fast and I loved it! Breakfast was phenomenal and the views are out of this world. The hubby and I come every anniversary and this is the only place we stay!

Only complaint is the wings at humble market changed since the last time we were here they didn’t have any sauce like normal they were kinda dry and chewy. When we came in 2024 they were crispy and perfectly sauced. Not sure what happened
