Residence Inn by Marriott Rocky Mount

Hotel location convenient, but our room faced the freeway and it was difficult to sleep when we could hear every truck roaring by through the night. Sounded like we were next to a flight line. Restaurants near by a plus, size of rooms good.

Towels in our room smelled like they were clean, but they were full of stains and (gross) hair (like someone had trimmed their beard on them). We got replacements. Room needs some updating....warped wood from drips/leaks and stains on bathroom cabinets.

How staff made sure I was straight on everything

Not being able to get the room I had requested almost a month in advance

The price and location, and it was right off the highway. It also has good restaurant within walking distance.

There was no soap in the bathroom and a dirty rag was left behind. Simple mistake but it should've been taken care of.

Very nice and comfortable and large room

First thing I always check especially on the bottom floor is the windows and every one of them was unlocked, not just like one lock but every lock on every window on the ground floor facing parking lot....very happy I routinely check
