Quality Inn & Suites Schoharie near Howe Caverns

Short driving distance to Fox Creek Covered Bridge, Mains St (with a few shops and restaurants) and Howe’s Cavern.

The shower was broken.

The property could use some upgrades, but ut was still convenient,comfortable and cost-efficient. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We will stay again, probably on our return tri.

The staff workers are the only positive thing about this place, I honestly feel bad that they have to work in such a nasty place and whatever they’re getting paid is definitely not enough for being exposed to this place everyday.

There is no way to explain everything that was horrible about this place, so I will bring up the things that were exceptionally disturbing. When I opened the door to the hotel room all my senses were immediately attacked. The room had such a strong smell it was vomit inducing and I had many thoughts of leaving the second I opened the door. Looking at the room it was clear nothing had been up kept or updated in an extremely long time, the doorknob of the bathroom was falling off, the carpet looked dirty even with the abstract pattern trying to cover up the dirt, the toilet seat had a yellow tint, and the chairs were creaky and unstable. The most worrying thing about the room was the amount of bugs living in the room, there were flies absolutely everywhere, every time I killed one it felt like there was suddenly 5 more. I was scared to lay on the bed let alone sleep on it after finding a bug crawling on me while I was laying on the bed after being there for not even 10 minutes. I’m honestly still fearing I brought bedbugs home and I visited about 2 weeks ago. Not only was it hard to sleep but it was even harder to stay asleep. The toilet was obviously broken and sounded as if the tank kept refilling every few minutes, there was also a ton of noise in the hallway throughout the night I was honestly fearing for my life. If you’re thinking of staying here save yourself. I don’t think I will ever forget this hotel and that’s not a compliment.

i liked the belgium waffle breakfast but theres animals in the building and you can smell dog on the second floor..sorry but other than that the rooms were clean the staff very helpful,,i would go there again
