The Medicine Hat Villa

The room was small but nice and clean. The area was not the greatest, but they had good security for parking, etc. Breakfast was basic. All in all great value and a nice place!

Breakfast was terrible, White bread and crappy waffle mix. The cereal selection was mainly for kids and as this was the only thing suitable to eat, I supplemented it with my own granola mix. The milk in the fridge was good.

The heater/air conditioner only blew COLD, We did have SNOW when I was there for a week and was given a portable electric heater to keep warm, Which was acceptable. I did not get any sleep my last two nights due to EXTREMELY NOISY KIDS, WHO WHERE RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE CORRIDORS AND SLAMMING DOORS, THIS WENT ON FOR HOURS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AND I TO THE TALKED TO THE MANAGER ABOUT GETTING THESE INCONSIDERATE ASSHOLES MOVED, Which did not happen, Which resulted in me leaving the hotel, After my last night at 4am Sunday morning for a 10 hr. drive home.

Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. The room was exactly what we needed and the hotel was within walking distance of a great dinner spot. All the amenities in the room (TV, fridge, coffee maker) worked well. The overall experience was fantastic considering the price.

The breakfast spread wasn't great.

The accommodation is basic, but is very functional. Breakfast is included in an already fantastic price. Staff were all very helpful.

Only had a blind in the room, which did little to keep the outside light out. A blackout blind would be fantastic.

It is located down town which is a little sketchy at night with people but facilities is locked

The staff were excellent, very accommodating and friendly. We went out for breakfast to try a different restaurant. We're tired of the same old thing at most restaurants anyway. The room was cozy and they had a smart TV. It was a bit limited and not so easy to figure out but we were able to get a clear picture. There was a nice reading area and you could watch a big TV if you wanted to. There was a place to put puzzles together and some books available. It was nice and bright and rather quaint. Who can complain about the price. We stayed at a much more expensive motel and we liked this place better.

The floor was a bit dirty looking. It didn't look like it had been vacuumed. A bigger table would have been great, perhaps with another chair so that both of us could sit at it. The location was a bit iffy but they closed the gate after a certain hour. We were excited to try Backgammon but disappointed that pieces were missing but I'm sure there working on things. They can't do everything at once.
