The hotel is located within a couple of kilometres of the CBD but the free Red Cat bus passes by so transport is good. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The bed was large and comfortable.

The room was very cramped (not helped by an exceptionally large single lounge chair) and the large bed. It was also quite noisy - surrounding rooms all had self-closing doors that made a loud report if not eased closed. By far the biggest problem was the lack of fresh air. The window did not open at all and the air-conditioner recycled the air in the room. Added to the lack of space in the room, it made for a disappointing experience, especially as we had stayed at the Mantra a fortnight earlier in a one bedroom apartment which was excellent.

Water pressure was terrible. Also don’t give you clean towels or clean your room.

Property is very tired. Fittings and fixtures were old and worn. Paint was faded and dated. Facilities in the room were poor - lights not working properly and poor quality. No charging points next to the beds. Bedroom fitouts very poor. TV unable to access free to air channels 7,9 and 10. Couch old, shabby and uncomfortable. Room was noisy during the night. Bathroom was poor quality.
