Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne - MGallery Collection

This hotel is overpriced and rundown. While the rooms are clean and the beds nicely made, the glass doors to the terrace were broken, the terraces themselves were dirty, and the carpets throughout the hotel were noticeably unclean. The property feels neglected and in need of renovation. Although the staff were kind and helpful, the welcome drink was terrible. The village is extremely touristy, with a Game of Thrones-style medieval theme that feels cheap and inauthentic. Overall, not worth the cost.

I had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the spa services were top-notch. The experience at restaurant was amazing

Highly recommend for a real first hand experience of the Cite. Dinner was superb and the staff very accommodating. Please don't wear your AC/DC t-shirt, flip flops and cowboy hat to dinner.

We very much enjoyed our 5 night stay. The location is spectacular. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The staff were polite and very helpful.

Wow this was a wonderful place to stay. Fantastic room, pool and outdoor bar area. In the heart of the old town. Excellent staff. Highly recommend!!!

It's a beautiful hotel, but slightly dated (which is to be expected). What isn't ok is the disrepair of floor tiles around the toilets (marble, browned by effluence isn't good) and sink holes with staines. Our stay was further marred by a fire alarm which was handled very badly. No staff monitoring or stewarding the entrance, which is deeply unsafe. When this was raised, the night manager found it funny and one of the chefs thought it sensible to make faces at us about it. The day manager the next day was apologetic and comped our bar bill, to his credit, but I won't be returning to what is an unsafely run property.

Absolutely amazing experience staying in this historic property. The staff were attentive had an issue with the bar regarding drinks but this was effectively resolved in a courteous manner. Will definitely be back . Had a beautiful room overlooking the square and city The gardens restaurant and pool were stunning and the hotel restaurant exceptional

Set in the medieval City with spectacular views from the hotel and a lovely private garden, this is a very opulent hotel. It might seem pricey but well worth the money.

I’ve stayed before and was absolutely disappointed with my return visit.

A very special hotel with great service and a unique atmosphere. We loved every moment of our stay as did our little Italian Greyhound.
