Maldron Hotel Shandon Cork

Good breakfast, location walkable to shopping and restaurants. Pipes made a noise every time the toilet was flushed. Nice large counter space in bathroom though.

Family trip with college kids.

Staff were excellent in helping us with requests for information etc. No air-conditioning but they did provide a fan . Food in restaurant was very good.

Nice hotel, the only issue was that it’s not air conditioned, so it was pretty warm in the room.

If you are driving, the off site parking isn’t that convenient. Hotel layout is a little confusing and there were a few hallway odours. Room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet though.

Clean, and tidy, good location to explore. Staff were friendly, only downside is if you want to use the pool (at weekends) you are also in with local swimming lessons & it’s not that big.

Good location. Staff helpful. A bit too Many emails and automation of check in and out. More human touch in that regard would be appreciated.

I appreciated the history of the hotel and even the cemetery in the back. The manager was very friendly and provided us with background information about the hotel. However, the elevator was slow, and the parking was tight. We ended up parking at another location, but we had to pay each time we wanted to retrieve our car. The hotel was within walking distance to Shandon Bells & Tower at St. Anne's Church, and it was an easy walk across the bridge to downtown.

Property was outdated, parking was awful

Staff was very friendly.
