Velvet Coaster Apartments

Great location to the beach excellent for walking the dog, bed was extremely comfortable.

We stayed in the ice blast apartment which if I am honest was a little smaller than expected..to many stairs for my liking,had very poor Internet connection barely none at all had to stay on my mobile data..kettle was a little faulty to use and the first flight of stairs had the carpet coming away..never seen one member of staff on site the whole 3 days of our stay

Kettle was haunted kept boiling its self was happy with the cooker frying pan toster

The Internet didnt work right heating didnt work at all

Cleanliness

The stairs were brutal. Couldn't connect to the wifi despite numerous attempts. Apartment was smaller than expected. Parking was a nightmare.

Good location, near most major activities and train stations

The bedsheets had a strong odour to them which wasn’t very pleasant. There were also many small stains on the sheets, one of which appeared to be blood. No blankets or pillows provided for the cot bed. Was told housekeeping would take our bags upstairs but this didn’t happen. I had also put one of my hair clips in the hallway with our stuff as we were told we could but my hair clip was missing by the time we had returned. Also had to stand in the rain for half an hour with our two year old daughter while waiting for the code to access the property. Was not greeted by any staff members at arrival nor did I see any staff at any point of our stay. The room was tidy enough but as mentioned the sheets were in an unacceptable state and there had clearly been a dog in the apartment at some point and had not been properly cleaned up after as the fur set off my allergies. There was also a box of melted ice lollies in the freezer and a child’s toy left in the apartment that was a choking hazard as my child had found it and tried to put it in her mouth, luckily we caught her before she was able to do so. One of the windows in the bedroom was broken and didn’t shut properly so caused a loud banging noise that kept us up a while. The window in the living room had a broken child safety lock on it which was dangerous as we were on the top floor and my daughter could have fallen out of it had we not kept it closed

Really clean perfect location out the way from the crazy busy side but only few mins down the road plenty to do around the apartment waterpark and theme park oposite then a 5 min taxi to the otherside were the tower etc is

Location, the property was located a stone throw from the pleasure beach and water park

The property was great for our stay the only criticism would be the windows didn’t open and close well and the noise outside could be disturbing, saying that I’m a light sleeper and this wouldn’t stop me staying again.

Location for us was perfect. We only stayed for one night but it was comfortable and perfect size for us as a family of 5. Shower was hot hot which was nice, sofas comfortable, bed not so much but that’s probably personal preference, Dena was lovely from the little contact we had. Check in was smooth. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Parking at the top of the street was fine. And when it rained on the night time the kids entertained themselves colouring in, I reclined the chair and watched rubbish TV, something I never get time to do at home!

Only thing I’d say cause I need to fill a box is the towels were quite small and I didn’t have a spare to dry my hair, but they were clean and fresh and we made do it really wasn’t the end of the world :) Thankyou x
