Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock

Dear Hilton Bell Rock Team, I rarely leave reviews, but this trip was one we had been eagerly anticipating. It was our first time visiting Sedona, and your resort seemed like the perfect place to stay. Unfortunately, our experience fell short. When we arrived, the air conditioning in our room was not working, which made our stay very uncomfortable during the heat wave. Additionally, we paid extra for a red rock view but were not informed about the large construction project directly outside our room. This was disappointing for what was meant to be a special getaway.

Nice to be close, but not in Sedona proper. Views are beautiful. Easy access to view pullouts and short hikes. In an area where you can go against traffic if you leave early in the morning and go back mid- afternoon

Everything was under construction - lobby, gyms, parking- and no room discounts even though amenities not available for use. Restaurants were expensive and not very good. Honestly, this did not feel like a luxury or even a middling resort. I did not know Sedona was so cramped, crowded and lacking in “magic.”

Stayed here for four nights from Feb 2-5th. When booking through Costco I told them this was for our anniversary celebration. We booked the roundtrip flight (American Airlines), rental car (Budget) and Hotel stayed. Flight and rental pick up was fast and easy to get though. When we arrived at the hotel I was immediately greeted by the staff at the front desk. They were able to get us quickly checked in and informed us that we did indeed have a $100 food credit per day of our stay. The credit was good throughout the hotel and did also include the spa services, and Starbucks on site. One thing that we were not aware of was that the food credit rolled over each day! So, in total we had $400 to spend for our stay there. We were really happy about that. When we got to our room we were really impressed. We asked for the cliff side view with firepit access. The room came with a small balcony with two porch side seats and a table and two Adirondak chairs bye the gas firepit. The firepit is timer controlled which was a bonus. The hotel has two restaurants, Shadow Rock Tap &Table, and Blue Water Cafe. Blue Water Cafe is located outside by the pool area. However, it was closed for the season, and we were unable to have access to it. Thus, leaving Tap & Table as the only dining option at the resort. Know this, Tap &Table is very expensive. The food may be expensive but is very good! They do have Happy Hour specials and a Special Bar menu for food. We had two bartenders, Sal and Noe during our stay. Both were excellent. Try the Sedona Burger, Turkey Melt, Chefs Burger, Mushroom Risotto, and Wedge Salad. The deserts we had were the Chocolate Mousse cake, and Turtle Cheesecake. Delicious! All in all, we highly recommend the stay here. Given the chance we will book here again.

We arrived at 8 pm after a long travel day, ready to go to bed, but when i got there i was told my room was cancelled, despite it being on the same booking as my friend's room, which was still there. The staff were unhelpful and insisted that this was Costco's fault, i had to call them to sort it out myself and asked me what i wanted to do. I could go somewhere else, or they can charge me for a night and then ask Costco for a refund later. This lack of service was incredibly disappointing. If i wanted to be told "figure it out yourself" i would've gone to a Motel6. I come to the Hilton so that the staff can help solve problems for me. The staff should've said, let's get you into a room, we'll put a temporary hold on your card, and i'll call costco first thing tomorrow to get this sorted for you." I couldn't sleep and the next day I immediately called costco only to be told the Hilton had sent them confirmation of my room, and they dont know what's going on, but Costco will call Hilton and sort it out. When i walk by the front desk after breakfast the check in on progress, the front desk mentioned that the reservation was there, so they're not sure why i was told it was cancelled the night before, but that they were still working it out with Costco. All in all the level of incompetence and bad service leads me to say i have no faith in Hilton and will never stay at a Hilton again. On top of this rocky start, at the end of our trip, just before we were packing up to leave, we got an angry knock on the door. I opened it and a woman was yelling at me in spanish. Finally i caught the jist of it and she was telling me i was supposed to be checked out. I told her we have 2 pm late check out and she answers aggressively "AND WHAT TIME IS IT NOW?!" I answer 11:10 am, which is not 2 pm. Then the other staff said i wasnt on the list and they walked off without even apologizing. This whole stay was ridiculous and no offer of anything to help make up for stressful experience. Definitely don't stay here, you will be disappointed.

Loved the location and the opportunity to stay in such a dog friendly facility!
