Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point Doheny Beach

Great experience running my business meeting! Lauren and Pablo were fantastic!! Thank you for treating us like valued customers and for the great service! I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn in Dana Point!

We were camping at the state beach across the street and stopped in the rooftop bar far a drink. Randi was our bartender and was great. Wonderful personality and conversation while my wife and I had a bit to eat and some drinks.

Everything the maids or valet stole my phone on my birthday and committed $50k worth of financial fraud. I DEMAND a full Refund…

I don’t like writing negative reviews but for what we paid for this room, it’s necessary. The positives-great staff, friendly/nice/helpful, comfortable bed, and right across the street from Doheny Beach. The negatives- $350+ per night for an old property in need of updating, TLC, and improved cleaning. Rooms have thin walls. You have close beach access, but also PCH noise on the other side. I’m a 30+ year business traveler so I know a good value hotel and unfortunately this isn’t one.

Drove 2.5 hours to stay here during heatwave & several days of power outages at home just wanting to get a good cool nights sleep. Hotel layout was a bit weird.. location is on the PCH thus traffic noise is an issue if you open anything, breakfast is not included. Discovered when getting in for the evening after 10 that AC wasn’t cooling. Maintenance came & went in an out a few times, finally saying it all just needed to be cleaned and it should be cool in 30-40 minutes. Less was after 11:30. By 12:30 - 1 am the temp had gone up 2 degrees & it was much cooler outside. So we opened the balcony door, which then let in traffic noise. Got no sleep. In am spoke to mgr Jeff who said he could not refund my stay because through Priceline unless they contacted them, but he could give me enough points for a nights stay which he said was like 20k pts. Left expecting the issue resolved .. it was not. Turns out a avg night stay there is 44k pts but he gave 0, after 45 days of travel (not in Hiltons) contacted Priceline who’s customer service was just as bad but when they finally did contact business mgr James, he told them no refund, he would do points for a nights stay which stay. Back & forth with James.. still no refund, 0 pts much less enough to cover enough for the loss of sleep for the over $200 we paid to stay here. Basically they lie, have no customer service and our room had no AC which is stated we would have and was our reason for taking this trip. While I understand things happen sometimes, lying and saying you are going to make it right (x2) and then not doing so is more than just poor customer service. I absolutely do recommend this property or the Hilton brand, if this is the type of people they allow to represent them.

We enjoyed the rooftop bar and Randi’s service. It was completely busy, and we couldn’t believe how well controlled she had everything. She handled everyone with precision & ease. She had a great personality, & made everyone feel welcome. We want her to be our sister ha ha. It was literally packed, but no one had to wait. She had great control of the whole rooftop bar and environment.
