This cool art deco building is deceiving. Walking from the parking lot to the lobby is a wonderful surprise. Elegantly furnished in deep woods, marble and plush velvet seating you are greeted by a young, smiling and helpful staff. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated, quiet, plush beds and soft bed linens. The staff is amazing at this hotel and ready to provide you with tips and recommendations from art galleries, music venues, restaurants and breweries. Upon request they will even take you via shuttle to your destination - within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. When here do be sure to take a meal at the hotel restaurant - The Chalkboard for a delicious and unforgettable meal (or two) - don’t forget to visit Evan at the bar who serves up amazing drinks and tidbits about everything from music to whiskey.

This is absolutely where one wants to stay in Tulsa; absolutely delightful as long as price is not a big concern. Treat yourself or go to the standard venues and be underwelmed. Great place. Great service. Perfect location.

Perfect. Check in was great, the room was huge, well furnished, modern and extremely comfortable. The beds were amazing as well. There is a great restaurant/bar right downstairs and free parking on site. It is further away from the downtown area which you may look at as a pro or a con depending on your needs. Staff are very friendly and helpful as well. One of the better city hotels that I have ever stayed in.

The distance from Chicago to our destination, Austin, Texas, is 1,120 miles. The halfway point is Tulsa, Oklahoma, 690 miles or 10 1/2 hours by car. The last time I was in Tulsa was 1977, to cover the U.S. Open golf tournament, a forgettable event that was won by Hubert Green by one stroke over Lou Graham and Tom Weiskopf. Remember? The one-time oil boom town has changed considerably since then. But one thing hasn't. My wife and I decided to stay at the Ambassador Hotel, a Tulsa original that opened in 1929 and has been reinvented as a charmingly chic boutique hotel. Located at 1324 South Main Street in the heart of downtown Tulsa, the 10-story Mediterranean-style Art Deco building offers 55 guest rooms, the Chalkboard restaurant, a bar/lounge, a 24-hour business center, 24-hour room service, a concierge, free wi-fi, internet access and complimentary airport shuttle service. One of the city's iconic buildings, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We booked a Classic King room with 329 square feet of space, King-sized bed, 42-inch flat screen TV, luxurious armchair with reading light, ergonomic workspace, private bath with walk-in shower, mini-refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. The Chalkboard restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chalkboard Wellington, Chicken Ballentine, herb and pistachio crusted lamb lollipops and executive chef Daniel Gibb's signature bread pudding are highly recommended.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was very helpful and we loved having a delicous resteraunt inside of the hotel. Definately will come back on our next visit to Tulsa!
