Emeline

The atmosphere and location were excellent, making it easy to enjoy Charleston on foot. We loved the restaurant and coffee bar, which added a lot to the overall experience; food & cocktails were amazing. The property was clean, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Thoughtful touches like the complimentary Emeline glass bottle for guests and the coffee and water stations on each floor made the stay feel a little more special and convenient.

The beds were not as comfortable as we would expect for a hotel at this price point. The biggest issue, however, was a noticeable musty/mould-like smell in the room, which significantly affected the overall experience. Everything else about the hotel was enjoyable, but the odor made it difficult to fully relax and would make us hesitant to return unless the issue has been addressed.

Bed was very comfortable. Place is gorgeous. Location great for walking places.

Everything is very expensive

Beautiful hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful. Very clean and elegant feeling. Great location as well.

I had a few, minor issues. One was our AC broke and it was over 80° in our room. The staff quickly helped to try and fix it, and when they were unable to they moved us to a new room. I felt the situation was handled in a great manner. I feel with the process point breakfast should be included, I’ve paid a lot less at places that offered breakfast. My third and final issue was on a Thursday night they had a rehearsal dinner outside in the courtyard which was outside our room. It would’ve been nice to know in advance there would be an event because they were very loud and stayed late.

This property is in an excellent location with an easy walk to the market, restaurants, carriage rides, and water front park. The restaurant in the hotel served good food and had an inviting atmosphere.

What time we were in the room, the Wi-Fi for the TV was spotty. It would’ve been nice to have a pool.

Clean, nicely appointed room.

Had to request ironing board and iron. Took 10 min. Then I found a steamer in a drawer (bonus!). Seriously, having to ask was my only critique.

Location was great and the staff really nice Quiet and still close to some really nice restaurants

Location and beautiful place all around. Franny and the Fox was a plus

The ac was either too cold or too hot no automatic cooling
