Residence Inn Salt Lake City Cottonwood

For our first night, we called at about 4 pm to say we were arriving late; they said no problem. When we arrived our 2 bedroom was given away and they split up my family into 2 separate rooms: 1 studio and 1 one-bdrm. The next day, our room wasn't ready until later in the afternoon so we repacked up our things and loaded up our car until our appropriately booked 2 bdrm was available. When it finally was, upon our first entry into the bathroom, there were noticeable pubic hairs on the floor and in the tub/shower. It just felt dirty. No compensation for any of it. 2 people offered "points", but neither followed through to actually issue/credit/provide anything at all.

We booked a 2 bedroom. We knew we were going to arrive late so we called to let them know. Upon arrival, they said our reserved room was given away. My family was split up. We had to check out the next day and wait for our 2 bedroom to be available and cleaned before we can check back in. Very inconvenient. The new room had a few pubes on the bathroom floor upon our arrival.

Didn’t like Construction was an issue, no bell carts available as trash bags were on a couple of them, hallway always smelled of cooking , no air Fresno mitigate the smell, had to clean the leaves out of the spa when we used it, staff saw us cleaning and didn’t offer to help, fire pit was down for a couple of days.

Did like Location and room.

Helpful staff, huge rooms

This is a great place to stay if you plan on skiing nearby. But the price did go up in one year which I understand however we rented a room with a small kitchen and it was not well stocked with cookware. The food at the breakfast buffet seemed to go downhill a little as well. All staff were wonderful and the hotel overall is clean and worth staying at.

Super impressed with this property, the staff, amenities, and location. All of our favorite things are nearby. Eg Mountains for hiking and skiing, restaurants, etc. We worked, played, and hiked. The hotel is situated at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon area. They have a heated pool, hot tub, grill, outside seating, pickleball, cornhole, and pool toys for the kids. The staff is incredible. They’re very friendly and so helpful. Most Residence Inn’s should feel “homey”, but typically don’t, in my experience. This property and staff made that experience for us.
