Standard Apartment by Hi5 - Régiposta

Very good location, in the center of Budapest. Very good public transportation connections. Many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The apartment was ok.

The building was being renovated so there were workers on the halls and a lot of noise, including at some very early hours.

The location was excellent

The pillows were uncomfortable snd dirty.There were other pillows in the closet but we couldn’t use them because they were dirty and there were no pillow cases.Also there was only one towel for each of us and no face towel.The room had a bad smell.The bed sheets had some yellow spots on them.The worst was that we could hear everything from the next room.Also,the first night we had no electricity for few hours

First of all, the things we liked. Major one - location, it's absolutely a selling point, right next to Váci utca, a street filled with restaurants and shops, very close to the river, inner city and most things are in walkable distance. Other than that everything was decent, we are not particularly difficult about accommodation so we were fine. The room was just as shown in the pictures, although seemed a little smaller. Very clean and overall good enough.

Now onto the worse stuff. Trying to find this apartment was torture, but not more than finding a parking spot in busy Budapest. Don't be fooled that it says parking available, yeah for you to find and pay for. Ended up having to pay for about 200ft/20 minutes, so have coins on you, the parking machine doesn't take card. There is a parking garage right under the apartment, that's 15 700ft for 24 hours. Weekend are free all over the city(doesn't include private parking like parking garages), but have fun trying to find a spot close to the apartment. We were visiting because of the F1 race, meaning there's like 3x more people around budapest, arriving back from hungaroring and trying to find parking is not easy. Back to the location, and a hell of finding the apartment, i advise you to look at the videos they send you in the check-in email, it will help you. Obviously, we did that a little later, we didn't realize that it would be such a pain to find this. There is no sigh whatsoever, it is an actual apartment building with just (2) two apartments from hi5, rest are locals. Note that Régiposta utca is only accessible from one side, apple maps apparently doesn't know that. About the actual apartment, as i said, it was fine, only complaints - the kettle didn't work, we had to boil water for tea and coffee on the stove in a pot. The clock didn't work, the batteries were probably dead. And the bathroom is incredibly crammed, plus the glass sliding door was a pain to shut, couldn't do it with nails and i shut my fingers in there a few times, obviously it's not sound proof, so if you are not particularly close with your travel buddy, it's not ideal. And lastly, the staff. Trying to get ahold of them was very hard and when you did, they rarely solve your problems, but that's just meaby because then really couldn't do anything about it.

Beautiful property, very clean & bright. Close to everything in Budapest city centre. Walking distance.

Everything was very clean apart from the shower drain giving off a bad smell.
