It was a simple room and a good value

The hotel itself is quite stuffy and humid but the room was fine once the air con was on.

Breakfast was pretty cool till an aggrressive homeless guy came and begged us for money while we were eating our eggs. Its cool that they employ people to sniff your sheets and check for stains . They will tell you to pay a fine for your stained sheets after breakfast. Its a great experience. The owner lady sits on a table in the restaurant and watches you. Its nice that she cares enough to stare.

I chose this place because of the good reviews. They could not have been further from the truth. The room was small like a prison cell, the sheets were old and discolored, wifi did not work, and there was no hot water in the shower. The chair was broken and stained. After the first night while having breakfast, I was confronted by hotel staff, who had examined my bed sheets and said that I had a stain on them and had to pay a fine. It was a creepy feeling to know someone was sniffing my bed sheets while I was having breakfast. I paid their small fine but I doubt they will buy new sheets in their broke hotel. They treat you poorly because it is a poor hotel. I left this place with a creepy and annoyed feeling. The poor receptionist girl went to talk to me the next day during breakfast. I thought she was going to confront me again about more stained sheets, but she had seen this review and begged me to take it down. I explained to her that I had booked this place due to the positive reviews, and feel I was cat fished. I saw the owner cowering in the corner watching our interaction, she was obviously afraid to talk to me herself. Over all weird place. I did not feel comfortable here. Will not be back.

* Good bed (I had great sleep--I have insomnia especially if place is unfamiliar so this is fairly significant) * Good breakfast (taste good, has healthier options and you can have it room serviced). The bistro/restro on the 1st floor, which I assumed where my breakfast was prepared, serves good coffee and food--maybe the reason it's rarely empty every time I pass by. * Polite staff * AC is already prepped when I checked in.

* There is a shoe mark inside the wardrobe cabinet (an indication that shelves inside were not cleaned) * No heater (not much of an issue I guess unless you are staying during cold months or you are used to hot showers. I love hot showers so I was a bit disappointed) * Towel was initially not provided (apparrently they forgot. Good thing I asked for one before I went out. This is forgiveable because we are humans but if I have not already confirmed that a towel will be provided, I would have assumed there will be no towels and would've inconveniently bought one or showered without one) * This one is the most negative, at least to me because I have a bad back: No seat was provided. I thought this was a basic in any accommodation. I left shortly after I checked in so I did not notice it. I went back late thereafter and was too tired to let them know plus it was already late I did not want to disturb anyone. In the morning, when breakfast was delivered, I sent a message to their messenger and booking.com chat if they can provide a seat (it can be a monobloc, I don't really care. I'll gladly exchange the tv set to get a proper chair). I moved the heavy table towards my bed and tried sitting on the bed but it was too uncomfortable and gave up after feeling pain on my spine. So, I ate my breakfast standing up and did not get to enjoy it fully. It did not help that when I checked out, I saw the room next to mine with a comfortable seat. It did not help that I was told to message their fb page if I need anything when I checked in but my message was still not acknowledged until now. :(

What I love about this property is the fact that they have their own 24/7 restaurant which is very convenient for a solo traveler like me who is out most of the time. They even prepared my free breakfast by 3AM as I need to meet the joiner van going to Gigantes island for a day tour. All staffs including security guard are very nice and accommodating answering all my questions how to roam around the city via local transport. I’ve even got a pleasant talk with Kuya guard as he used to work in Manila and know my town. Although I’ve experienced a small issue with my Wi-fi (I’m staying at 5th flr.) which was resolved quickly after a technical reboot. They also have a family room to accommodate big groups so I think this hotel can cater different types of group. Before I forgot, my room was upgraded to double deluxe without any charge so I am very happy with that. Thank you!

However, the location is one ride from the city center, so if you prefer a more quiet place after a long day without spending too much time going to the city attractions, I recommend this hotel. But if you are someone who wants to stay just within the city center, maybe downtown area suits you better.
