Beautiful house in an excellent location. Shanklin Town was a short walk away. Jill was a superb host and nothing was too much trouble.

Jill was very welcoming upon arrival and continued to be sociable on our comings and goings. A lovely house with beautiful views. Very clean and had everything we needed in our room. Location was good, 5 min walk to a little village where there is 2 pubs, one a Greene King so you can have dinner if wanted. Would definitely stay here again if visit the island. Thankyou Jill for a lovely stay😊

Martlets is a beautiful property just outside of Shanklin on the road to Ventnor. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is decent and cooked freshly to order. Jill is a friendly and accommodating host and offers exceptional value for money.

Just a minor point ......... Most if not all of the toilettries in the bathrooms and the food served is from Aldi. I don't have a major issue with this as it offers good value for money. However I think that putting a basic Aldi shower gel in the guest bathroom in its origional packaging and placing Bramwell condiments on the breakfast table does detract somewhat from the perceived quality of the accommodation which is a shame as the B&B is without a doubt high quality in all other areas. Maybe invest in some soap and shower gel dispensers and serve condiments in mini kilner jars to overcome this.

Wonderful 2 night stay at Martlets. Jill was a very welcoming host, her home is lovely and she makes a big effort to make your stay perfect. Would highly recommend it.

"An amazing stay."

We had an amazing stay, loved the Martlets and Jill is wonderful. Having breakfast, that was perfect by the way, while looking at the views started the day off well. Our room was comfortable, and the views from our window were lovely. Location is perfect as it’s quiet, and only a short walk to Old Shanklin Village.
