Martlets B&B

We stayed here in August and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, and our hostess was welcoming, friendly, and full of local knowledge — the kind of person who instantly makes you feel at home. Her adorable furry friends made the stay even sweeter. The B&B itself is spotless, comfortable, and just a short walk to all the best spots in Shanklin. Breakfast was fantastic — the sort that sets you up for the whole day. It’s everything a great B&B should be, and when we’re next looking for a B&B to stay on the Isle of Wight, this will be our first choice. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Modern, comfortable, relaxing, peaceful and welcoming. Location was great for us as we were only using public transport on the island and was in between two bus stops. 10 minute walk to picturesque Shanklin Old Village and its attractions, shops and restaurants. Owner made us feel welcome and was a great host throughout our stay. Great breakfasts were consumed throughout. In the room the attention to detail made such a difference, like provision of biscuits and fresh milk for hot drinks in the room; a coat hook on the back of the door (frustrating overlooked in most places); a lounge area to relax away from the room; and robes in the bathroom.
