Cool Bananas Backpackers

This hostel is exceptional under any aspect! You get out of the greyhound bus and get a super warm welcome immediately. Scott and Chillies are great hosts and keep a warm and friendly atmosphere around. Agnes Water is a lovely town, with beautiful beaches and a relaxed vibe. I rented a bike for$ 30 in the morning and had a stroll around, then biked towards springs beach and walked the red rocks trail (great recommendations at reception). Surf lessons are also available and scenic flights but I didn't have the time to try them myself. I made my way back in the afternoon to join the hostel activity: sunset at 1770. Literally the most peaceful place on this earth. The facilities are super clean and functional! The bed is comfortable, the showers are super and so is the kitchen. In the main outside area, underneath fairy lights,there are some picnic tables to eat, have a chat or socialise a bit. At the reception there's a TV with movies and games. I didn't try it but saw people enjoying it! The pictures don't do justice to this place, everything is covered in sea themed murals and cute viby decorations. It doesn't matter if you stay a day or a year, you won't be disappointed!

I could not stay longer, but I will be back!

The staff and owner are really nice and sweet! It is a very social hostel and there are group activities in the evening which makes it easy to get to know people. Furthermore, the hostel is very tidy and neat:)

Cool bananas is such a gem on the east coast… perfectly positioned 2 streets away from main beach, and the vibe of the place is great. Tv room, hammocks, always activities, clean kitchen and well maintained and clean bathrooms. Thank you for having us!

Pillows in the g-shack weren’t very comfy :(

There are so cool bananas working in the hostel! The surfing lesson was really fun too!

Small hostel, great atmosphere, super clean, big rooms and friendly staff/owner. Agnes water was also surprisingly beautiful!

Lots of flies but they cant really do anything about that. The kitchen could have more stoves - it gets busy at rush hour.
