Good! Just near the rail so it would have some noise

This hotel is definitely more like a hostel than a hotel. It is very outdated and the rooms are quite small. Our room was on the side by the train tracks and it was very loud. Also, the rooms were quite hot and your only option was to leave the window open for airflow and when you did so you invited tons of bugs into your room, so what do you choose mosquitos or a stuffy hot room? The complimentary breakfast was very good and you definitely got plenty of food. However, if you choose to sit next to the window to enjoy the beautiful view of the river while you enjoy your breakfast you will also be hanging out with a lot of bugs. Again, they keep the windows open to keep it cool, but this invites a lot of bugs in. I wish our room would have had a ceiling fan or standing fan to help cool things down. The hotel is always super clean and the location is nice as it is away from busy downtown area.

The hotel had an excellent location, conveniently close to the train station. The property was exceptionally clean, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Although the hotel didn't have air conditioning, we requested a fan, and the staff went out of their way to provide one for us. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

I wanted to love this inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. the location was great. the rate was even greater. they had some of the best breakfasts we had in this trip (everything made to order. and i loved their bread which actually smelled like bread). However, our room had no A/C (none of their rooms has) and we couldn't open the window because there's no window screen. They told us not to open the window because mosquitos would come in. so for two nights, we stayed inside a room with no fresh air. I survived the first night but i started to develop cough on the second night and the next morning I got up with terrible sore throat, coughs and minor headache. (btw, the lady was nice enough to borrow me an electric fan but it didnt help much because there's no fresh air). Fortunately, it was after we went to Machu Picchu but because of the sickness, when I traveled back from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, I experienced some minor altitude sickness symptoms like short of breath and headache despite the fact that I took the medicine already. Being sick, I wasn't able to enjoy Cusco and Lima as much as I expected. And it's not just me, two of my friends who stayed in another room also got sick after the second night of the stay. I dont know how other reviewers were able to live with the windows open and not be bitten by flying insects but that's definitely not our experiences. I am actually good with no A/C but at least install window screens so that guests can open the windows and let fresh air in and keep flying insects out. anyway, i hope i've listed all the pros and cons here and let people decide. But I will definitely not recommend my friends to stay there before they install window screens in their rooms.

Good to stay.

Everything was nice. Clean place with everything one needs. Also very nice breakfast. The guy working in breakfast area was an angel.

This place is spotless , the staff really takes care of keeping the room , bathroom and common areas clean. Also the personal is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, its served not buffet, includes bread, eggs, cheese, ham, juice, fruit and coffee. The location is also convenient, across the train station. For a basic hotel with all described above I give them a 5. Just know that it has no A/C and my husband and I felt the need for it one night.

The staff were very helpful! The view out of some of the rooms was outstanding. It was a little loud for a hotel, but quiet enough when you consider the rooms hallways and stairs were out of tile.
