Black Rock Lodge

The staff here have the most incredible service and are very welcoming. The food was unbelievably delicious and the wildlife was abundant! We didn’t do much of the activities that they provide as we didn’t have enough time but I will definitely be coming back!

This eco-lodge high in the jungle above the Macau River was great. I was concerned about mosquitoes and the staff outfitted my room with a mosquito net before I arrived. The food was extremely good: fresh ingredients, well prepared, not fussy. Though I didn't personally take advantage of the amenities: kayaking, tubing in the river, bird hikes - they were there and others at the lodge appeared to enjoy them. I did treat myself to a massage on my last morning - very peaceful setting in a palapas above the river - the masseuse was well trained and knocked out any kinks to make my return to "civilisation" much more tolerable.

Fantastic wildlife, guides and river adventures.

This is the most exciting place to visit in Belize. So many options for adventure from here. The meals were fantastic, the staff was fantastic. Thank you Black Rock for creating this place deep in the jungle.

We loved Black Rock Lodge! The rooms are beautiful with one major problem. The bugs. I know bugs are normal but I had a hard time with them hitting my face and crawling down my shirt as we ate dinner and hitting my face as I lay in bed trying to sleep. The wildlife and scenery is absolutely beautiful. The rope swing and river was so fun. I was too scared to play too much due to the crocodiles. My family loved it!

The property has all the amenities without the hassle and congestion

Beautiful property and great staff. We stayed at one of luxury cabins and it was incredible, spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. It is far from city or some activities, but that is inherited in choosing a “rainforest lodge” experience

Very attentive staff and perhaps the best customer service in all of Belize. My wife is vegan and gluten free and at meals they went to lengths to accomdate her.

Black Rock is a wonderful place to stay. The combination of serene beauty, dedication to eco-friendliness and excellent service made it such a memorable experience.

Staff were very friendly, definitely review your bill and ask for clarification following any trips to town, etc. The amount that was provided by the front desk was different than on the bill. As far as dinner, there are only three options so if you are coming with a picky eater like I was, be prepared.
