I experienced a technical error with Booking, which led to me accidentally booking two accommodations for the same night. I called their customer service and politely requested a free cancellation of one reservation. However, after several calls, they sent me a message declining my request. When I arrived at the location as scheduled, I called to ask for details about my reservation, as I had not received any confirmation via phone or email. The lady who answered informed me that they had already sent me an SMS, which I had not received. She promised to send it again and then hung up. As I waited without receiving anything, I called back, but the automated system informed me that the number was unreachable. I made multiple attempts to call, but I encountered the same issue each time. I then searched for the company online and found numerous reviews on Google from other customers who reported similar problems and had to book alternative accommodations. While researching, I found a phone number that apparently belonged to the owner. I reached out to her and explained that I would contact the police if I did not receive a response. While heading to the police station downtown, I finally received a reply stating that they had sent me an email with instructions. Upon checking, I discovered that the email was sent after I had sent my message. After considerable distress, I finally arrived at my destination, only to find that the sheets were dirty.
