I wish I knew about the towel, coming from Canada with a towel is not the most convenient thing and i dont feel like buying a towel! For me to leave it, why not rent towels? You have to return it at check out and if you dont then you pay for the damn towel!
Good experience, the Hostel was clean and convinient. I slept well in a dorm. Was not a youngester hostel feeling or a party place which I appreciate. Toilets were sometimes bit messy and felt like there were lot of rules about everything which I get but doesn’t make me feel too welcome. Well had a nice stay overall and could go back when in lisbon
Overall we had a brilliant stay at Selina Secret Garden. The rooftop bar and the breakfasts were a highlight. Think it might be the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten! The room was basic but as expected. It was very clean and the shower was great, very powerful. Staff were all very nice. As other reviews say, very relaxed vibe. Location is perfect too!
Staff was rude and did not help us during check in were talking to each other for 5 min s while we stood there with bags on waiting for them. Breakfast included was not worth the money very small sizes better to go else where

Kleine kamer, maar was echt prima. We waren toch de hele dag op stap in de stad. Locatie was ook erg goed, alles was makkelijk te bereiken lopend of met de uber. De temperatuur is Lissabon was best hoog en airco had misschien wel lekker geweest, die was niet aanwezig. Wel stond er in de kast een ventilator. Zou dit hotel zeker aanraden aan vrienden/ familie
The best features of this Selina is the very convenient location in a small but central street in Barrio Alto. Public transport (several busses and the historical 28) is very near (Metro Cais do Sodré in 10min walk), but you don‘t suffer from noise. Lot‘s of nice restaurants and bars around, Chiado and a lot of sights in walking distance. I booked a standard room, which is ideal for one person, but could be quite small for two. Got 205 in the 2nd floor with nice garden view and enough light. Room and ensuite bathroom were clean (and serviced every day). Check-in was friendly and effective including a tour around the property (btw: very charming reception staff). Used the clean common kitchen several times. Missed a coffee making facility (not even a french press was available…). Unfortunately, buying coffee in the restaurant was not a good alternative, as I experienced staff there several times as not attentive and rather unfriendly. On my last day it was not possible to place an order at all, because the young lady busily prepared orange juice and stood backwise to the desk, not reacting on my three friendly trys to call her… Overall the 5-night-stay was good and suited my needs fully. Especially as I booked it in a package with the flight for less than 700,- €.
Une expérience amusante au Selina secret garden qui est à la fois un hôtel qui propose des suites et une auberge de jeunesse ! Jeunes et moins jeunes se croisent dans un environnement très agréable !
Nice area! A little loud but overall not bad for what you pay for.
Great cute hostel, like upscale in terms of a hostel - great common areas, we had a private room and only thing was it was a little hot and the only way to get air was windows, but the room was right next to the common coworkspace and you could hear everything with the window open
