Villa Caparica Hostel

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Amazing staff, helped us with every type of issue and recommended a spot for surf lessons that was great, will definitely return!

The location was great and the staff were very friendly.

When I arrived there were no towels in my room and no control for the AC - so I wasn’t able to shower and couldn’t use the AC (which I had paid extra for). There was also a party being hosted one floor down and it was so loud I couldn’t sleep even with ear plugs. Had I paid hostel rates, I would have expected this - but for the rate I was charged for my room I was very disappointed. ☹️

Staff was great, lovely, well kept, comfortable.

- It's central/very close to the beach - The staff was eager to help - There was a modern common kitchen

- This hostel definitely has a mold problem and we felt that it was not clean (e.g. towels or bedding) ! When we arrived, we had extensive black mold around the window. The staff tried to find a new room, but we didn't know what was happening for 40 minutes, because nobody was informing us. We then got another, bigger room but even there we later discovered mold, also in the bathroom. The elevator also stank of mold. - We also felt that the towels and bedding were not fresh, they had a musty smell, so we had to leave the hostel after one night, even though we paid for 2 nights. We did not even use the shower because of that. - The bed and the pillows were hard/not comfortable

Exceptional place! Exceeded my expectations. Very clean. Room cleaning and towels change every day. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good facilities to prepare your own food. Free parking nearby. And most important - wonderful beach just a few steps away. Will definitely come again. Thank you! p.s. Greetings to the cat! :-)
