"Lovely property, great location."

Love this property, unique in the fact that it is beautifully maintained in true historical authenticity. Excellent view over the Mersey estuary, you can watch the cruise liners coming to and from the port of Liverpool. Nice walk to the seafront to see Antony Gormley’ famous Crosby iron men standing in the sand.. Lovely breakfast, comfy rooms and welcoming staff. Our second visit, and we will return.

Authentic staircases, so you need to be fit, but I know this should never be changed, it is a huge part of its character.

It’s a beautiful view outside the bedroom in the house. There was a massive bathroom the best I’ve ever seen. I love the new, different colors on the carpets.

I had a very comfortable stay for one evening with my Sister. The hotel was a beautiful historic building with lots of main features overlooking sand dunes and the Bay. Delicious breakfast and served well in a beautiful surround

The bathroom was separate outside the bedroom. However, it was not shared bathroom.

Really beautiful property. Jonathan was a very hospitable host and the breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend !

The bathroom was two flights of stairs away which was inconvenient during the night. That said, happy to compromise in light of the quality of the room.

A grand, beautiful, historic and lovingly cared for architectural gem. The location was perfect. We had a sea view looking out over Corby Beach and the Anthony Gormley statues.

We liked everything. The bathroom kept all it's original Victorian grandeur yet upgraded to include a fabulous shower. The breakfast, served at the dining room table with lovely cutlery, china and linen was perfect and during breakfast our host showed us signed books by Anthony Gormley who had been a guest here whilst working on his statues. A wonderful stay and we hope to return. This place is worth every one of it's stars!
