The Methuen Arms

The staff/service was fantastic! The food (both breakfast and dinner) was superb! Our room had a good strong shower too which I didn't want to get out of! Wonderful settings for places to eat with the two courtyards and the lovely dining room.

The matress was a little soft and there were no tissues (property policy apparently) which was slightly frustrating for me with my hayfever.

Cool ad quirky rooms with nice touches. Breakfast was very good. Complimentary drink on arrival. Complimentary tea and coffee / water in the room.

Alojamiento encantador y precioso. Cama comodísima. Personal muy amable. Estuvimos muy a gusto.

The room was comfortable and more surprisingly for a "pub" style room, quiet. Spacious ensuite with an good, large shower. I also had a meal at the venue with my company and not only was the food delicious but the venue handled our large ~20 person group with ease. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly at every interaction from check-in through dinner, breakfast the following morning and to check-out. Charlotte, who handled our entire dinner group with patience and a smile throughout should be commended.

If I had to find a fault, and its hard to do so, it would be that the carpark is a little small and I snuck in to the last available parking space when I checked in - but thats largely to be expected given the location.

Nice feel , lovely staff all efficiently checked in and out and taking out bags to the top floor (it’s all steps) was no problem x
