"I love my stays at Central Station."

This stay was the 2nd stay here (bookends) during my long road trip half way across the country. This time it was just in time for 901 Day! As always, I love my stay at Central Station (8th time staying here). The staff is usually always friendly & helpful & accommodating. This is my go to hotel when i'm in Memphis.

I thought the hotel was very nice except for the shower which leaked out and all over the bathroom floor and the first night the music from the next room was so loud it kept us up. The room was vacant.

We were excited to visit this hotel as the images and previous reviews (when we booked) all seemed so positive. Our experince this week was ok… it did not live up to the photos but there is potential! As a fan of mid century and travel history the decor is beautiful! It just seemed a little sad. Some of the walls could do with freshen up, the blind in our room was ripped, grout discoloured in shower. Minor things that with care can be rectified. The atmosphere felt weird in the lobby & bar. Flat almost, staff almost avoiding conversation. We visited the bar and the vinyl dj was great! We tried breakfast one morning. Do not bother. Service took over an hour with the bar being unmanned for long periods due to only one staff member. The arcade over thr road much more friendly for breakfast. Would i stay again or reccommend?? Location - yes, 15 min easy walk to beale street. Atmosphere - odd. Decor - tired.

It was a nice place to stay and have some history included. I was disappointed that the information on the website did not match the hotel. There was not a separate restaurant, no room service and no valet parking.
