Castel Hörtenberg

Ein sehr schönes historisches Gebäude

Das Castel Hörtenberg ist ein kleines, aber sehr feines Hotel. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dass wir noch die Möglichkeit hatten, in den Genuss des ausgezeichneten Restaurants zu kommen war der Professionalität des Personals zu verdanken. Das Restaurant im Gewölbekeller war durch eine Gruppe belegt, aber die ehemalige Gefängniszelle neben der Treppe wurde schnell in ein außergewöhnliches Séparée umgewandelt. Nochmals vielen Dank! Das Zimmer war sehr hübsch und absolut ruhig. Die Betten waren sehr gut und das Frühstück mit Prosecco wunderbar.

We had two nights in rooms 301 and 304. Amazing staff (Ryan, Davide, Hamza) while we were on property AND the wonderful kind and patient woman who helped us post departure get the items I had left behind (ugghh) forwarded to our next stop. The rooms were spacious, comfortable bed and a pillow menu, many mini bar options. The decor throughout the property was lovely. Breakfast on site was delicious as was dinner at Le Segrete in the cellar. Quiet location yet close to everything we wanted in town. Highly recommend the fascinating Otzi exhibit which we booked in advance and lunch at Wirtshaus Vogel, a lovely town to walk around in! Good to know: Because we were visiting before April 15 there was no airconditioning turned on yet, and it was already warm and sunny. That was the one downside to our stay as even with windows open it was already too warm for us to sleep comfortably. Not something I thought to ask about when we booked.
