very basic, no toilet flush, paying for wifi, but very worth for the price

Located in a good location on a steep hillside so that many bungalows have sea views from inside & on their balconies. The food was great with several dishes to choose from & an ever changing menu. Olivier was very helpful in organising all our needs, including transport to & from. Sven's dive shop next door was excellent for organising the correct snorkelling or diving trip according to your level of experience.

The resort is called Panorama 'Backpackers', as it wouldn't satisfy those wanting 4 or 5 star accomm. Only cold water, & you need to flush the toilet manually after use.

All round excellent experience. The property sits right above a beach and has a great view of the sea and the mainland. The provided diving service is very well priced and professionally run. The boats for diving leave from the beach and as such are very easy to get to. The food is tasty and filling. The property has a very easy going social atmosphere and it is very easy to meet others. The rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms in the garden rooms are simple but adequate. The property will organise transport for you from the Bunaken village for free.

Nice place to stay in Bunaken, on the top of a long stair leading to the beach. Thé snorkeling from the beach is amazing when we get to the drop. Beautiful coral and many fishes and turtles. Good food.

The staff is very cooperative and friendly. They will ask you about any dietary requirements and they will make sure you are happy with your food. They offer whale watching tour. And they can arrange hiking and monkey watching in Manadotua Island. There is a dive center 3 minutes away. The place is suitable for families, couples as well as solo travellers. I met wonderful people there. :) Sylvia has been around indonesia. She can help you plan for your next destination and give good recommendations. Hopefully will come again next time I am in Indonesia.

We had a great time in the Panorama Backpackers. The contact with Sylvie and Rob was realy nice before we arrived and they helped us to get a fair transfer. The arrival was warm and welcoming. The nature around is breathtaking. The room was basic, but spacious clean and with everything you need, the view was amazing and the hammock was an extra plus. The sound of the ocean by night was unbelievabel nice and we slept great:) The Food was AMAZING, every lunch and dinner was delicous. Thank you very much! But the best of they stay were all the nice, helpfull and friendly people, we had the feeling that we are visting family or friends. It was great that the dive Instructor Sven came there every evening and explained everythhing about the underwaterworld. We really enjoyed Diving with him. Thank you for your help to go to Manadotua to see the Tarsius, thank you for Jorbels medical help, the massage was really good, we really enjoyed the birthdayparty and all the talks. And of course thank you for the help with the thing we forgot.

All meals were delicious and varied, with good portion sizes to fuel a day of snorkelling or exploring. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, organising transport and tours. The view from the dining area was superb, particularly at sunset.

The rooms are somewhat basic but that's understandabe, considering the price. I didn't mind it - it was quite nice just to have the necessities in our room and focus on relaxing.
