It has a really nice vibe. Bed was comfortable. For the amount that you pay, it is not a bad place to stay, if you manage your expectations about staying somewhere very basic. But I think everywhere in Bunaken is very basic.

- Comms was a bit lacking - when a driver wasn't waiting for us at the airport (like it was agreed), I couldn't get hold of anyone at the hotel for a good 40 minutes. - I had to mention several times about being vegetarian to have some extra (veggie) food prepared. - There was a severe water cut in the afternoon when we were there, so it was annoying to wait hours to finally have a shower, especially since it was so hot. Staff just kept saying "water will be back in 15 minutes" for hours. It seems like it happens often, which is understandable if the infrastructure in the island is so basic, but then staff should advise guests to have the big buckets in the bathrooms always filled. - You need to climb quite a few flights of stairs to access rooms and restaurant from the beach. It wasn't a problem for us, but guests with mobility issues should probably avoid.

This is the best place to stay on Bunaken Island. The bungalows and also the rooms are really nice and super comfortable. You get breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's always really diverse, tasty and they offer many veggie options. There was also a party with barbecue, dancing and karaoke at the hostels own beach bar, which was great fun. The hostel is on the other side of the island (not where the boats arrive), but we loved that, as it was away from all the touristy stuff and really remote. The attached diving school is super professional, they go to amaaazing dive sights and have good equipment. All in all we really loved our stay here and would always come back!

The WiFi didn't really work, which was a little annoying sometimes, but also nice to be away from all.

WIFi connection not working for a couple of days as they have finished credit (their commnet), working again after more vibrant request, and again not working; electricity often off during hottest hours , generally 13h30 15h30 so fans were not working in the room

Beach is amazing, located on the better side of Bunaken - the other side is full of mangroves and hardly any sand to relax. Dives go out everyday, bungalow was very sweet and comfortable. Meals are delicious, staff are all very helpful and friendly

Breakfast is so small, if you're doing two morning dives you'll arrive at lunchtime starving. Laundry is ridiculously expensive (50.000 p kilo) but it is an island. I organised a pickup from the airport and the driver picked up other guests who came out of immigration first and left me. When checking out, the price for the pickup was still on my bill despite me having to arrange my own means. Divemasters tend to touch a lot of animals and coral underwater :/
